Description
Blue Small Business Multiple Award Construction Contract (BLUE SB MACC) NAVFAC WASHINGTONPROPOSED TASK ORDER:REPAIR FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS, BLDG. 250A US NAVAL ACADEMY, ANNAPOLIS MD Description of the Work: The majority of this project includes modifications necessary for the future occupancy of FAC#250A and fire protection/Hazmat work in the remainder of the facilities, described below.The entire facility includes the following buildings:? 250A: 4 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 4,000sf per story? 250B: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 5,000sf per story? 250C: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 4,000sf per story? 250D: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 4,000sf per story? 250E: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 3,000sf per story? 252: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 5,000sf per story? 274: 3 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 7,000sf per story? 275: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); approx. 11,000sf per story? *251: 2 stories (includes Bsmt); Approx 5,000sf per storyArchitectural repairs include painting and patching surfaces and carpeting; replacing/repairing doors and hardware as needed; repairing existing stair treads/risers; and repairing roof and rainwater systems. Mechanical repairs include removing and replacing existing fan coil units.Fire protection/safety repairs include the demolition of the existing fire alarm system, installing a new combination fire alarm/mass notification system throughout, and installing the new fire sprinkler system where it does not currently exist.Abatement of HAZMAT materials will be provided throughout. Electrical repairs include replacing inoperable fixtures, removing legacy telecommunications equipment, replacing legacy data cabling and equipment, installing new security card readers, and other minor repairs as needed.Selective demolition of the fire alarm system will occur in each facility.*NOTE: Although Building 251 is physically connected to the remainder of the facility, there is no scope in Building 251 included under this RFP. *Visit 'https://piee.eb.mil/sol/xhtml/unauth/search/oppMgmtLink.xhtml?solNo=N4008018R9815' to obtain more details.*
