Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates awarding a sole source firmed-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the authority of FAR 13.501(a), only one source reasonably available for the procurement of aircraft generators. This acquisition will use the procedures contained within FAR Subpart 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services. The intended source is: Honeywell International, 1300 West Warner Rd. Tempe, AZ 85284-2822. (CAGE: 1SZA1) to purchase two (2) 35 kVA APU Generator, four (4) 60 kVA Aircraft Generators. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. This notice of proposed contract action is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received within the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413; the standard business size is (1250) employees. All interested, capable, and responsible sources that would like to respond to this synopsis are encouraged to provide a statement of interest along with supporting substantiation input to Contract Specialist James Drak via email at james.m.drak.civ@socom.mil no later than 12:00 pm Eastern Time on 8 July 2022. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Vendors interested in submitting a proposal should contact the contract specialist above in order to obtain a solicitation following submission of a capability statement.
