- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources to repair a Grundfos KWM 40.265.10T.60M.46 pump for Little Goose Lock and Dam. This will be a firm-fixed-price supply contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 811310 and the associated small business size standard is $7.5M. Summary Scope of Work - Perform evaluation of the Grundfos KWM pump upon receiving, and repair to restore factory performance of the pump.� Upon completion of repairs, restore the pump with a factory warranty. The contractor must perform all repairs to return the Grundfos KWM.40�.265.10.T.60.650.M.46 to serviceable condition. The KWM pump experienced motor wire lead damage causing water intrusion into the submerged pump. The subject pump will be disassembled and inspected. Depending on the results of the inspection, various parts may be required to repair and fully re-assemble the pump. Recommended work scope will include inspection and replacement if required: �Clean, disassemble and inspect entire unit. �Supply and install: ? New Upper and lower bearings ? New Upper and lower mechanical seals ? New thermal and moisture switches, temperature and leakage sensors ? New Gaskets, O-rings and lubricants ? Bake/test stator assembly � determine final status ? Re-wind stator ? New power cables and control cable �Reassemble, and dry test entire unit with IO/SM modules �Paint entire unit with black industrial enamel and prepare for shipping. This is not a solicitation. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. Firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement.
