Description
Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), FL has a requirement to provide all design and construction effort required to upgrade the Building 104, Eglin Radar Control Facility Emergency Power System on Eglin AFB, FL.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors with a size standard of $39.5M.� Statement of Magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� This is a Small Business Set-Aside competitive acquisition utilizing a best value source selection process and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15.3. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following: provide a new Emergency Power System that shall consolidate all mission critical electrical loads on one emergency generator and one automatic transfer switch (ATS). Replace 277/480 V, 800 A main distribution electrical panel MDP with new panel. Remove panel PC and transfer its circuits to new panel MDP. Remove 150 KVA and 225 KVA transformer banks, and replace with a new 480 V primary, 120/208 V secondary dry-type transformer (sized as required) fed from new panel MDP. Remove the 400 A safety switch feeding ATS #1, remove the 400 A technical ATS #1, and the 600 A mechanical ATS #2. Then, install a new 120/208 V, 4-pole, Bypass Isolation, and Closed Transition ATS (sized as required) fed from the new dry-type transformer referenced above. Install a new 120/208 V circuit breaker sized as required to feed the new ATS referenced above. Remove the existing 175 KW and 100 KW emergency generators and install a new 120/208 V emergency generator (sized as required) in the existing generator room�if possible. Remove the existing underground diesel fuel storage tank and fuel piping. Install a new 1,000 gallon above ground storage tank and fuel piping connected to new generator. Remove the two 25-gallon generator day tanks in the existing generator room. Install a new 120/208 V emergency distribution panel DPE (sized as required) fed by a new ATS. Replace the existing 120/208 VAC, 600 A (MLO) electrical panel DPME and 120/208 VAC, 400 A (MLO) electrical panel DPTE with new panels fed from the new panel DPE. Remove the panel LA and transfer its circuits to the new panel DPME. Transfer the lighting circuit/s for mechanical room to the new panel DPME. Also, remove associated wiring and conduit not required by any existing electrical systems not being removed by this project.� The project shall comply with applicable DOD, Air Force, and base design rules and standards. 28 June 2022 - Formal Release of Amendment 001 The purpose of Amendment 001 is: 1. Update Section 1.5.5 Recency Assessment and table M2 Relevancy Ratings in Section M. 2. Update the date in Section 1.9 Questions and Answers Period in Section L. 3.� All updates are highlighted.
