Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.� The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract. This award will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deems only one source reasonably available. The USDA-ARS has a need for repairs to an inoperable NEXION 350D ICP Mass spectrometer including the associated autosampler, and chiller.� The USDA-ARS MWA intends to make a firm fixed price, sole source award under the authority of FAR 13.106-l(b)(l)(i), only one responsible source, to: PerkinElmer 710 Bridgeport Avenue Shelton CT 06484-4794 Description of Requirement:� The objective of this sole source award is to perform repairs on inoperable NEXION 350D ICP Mass spectrometer and related autosampler and chiller. Please be advised that PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. is the only approved source for PerkinElmer factory new or remanufactured repair parts for the PerkinElmer equipment needing repair. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334513; the small business size standard is 750 employees.� The PSC code for this requirement is�6640. NO solicitation or solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� All information received by 1:00 PM Central Time on Jul 7, 2022 will be considered by the Government.� Responses shall be submitted to Melissa Grice at melissa.grice@usda.gov.� The e-mail subject line shall state:� NEXION Spectrometer - Notice of Intent to Sole Source.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any submission in response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence as well as be in sufficient enough detail to show that they can provide products that would meet the Government�s need and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Again, this is NOT a request for competitive quotes. This notice is for informational purpose sonly. Responses received shall be considered by the agency; however, determination by the Government whether or not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED.
