- Description
- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information for project planning, to include the exploration of alternative solutions and determination of industry trends and leading practices for the efficient operations of Enhanced Custom Reporting, Data Management, and Data Analytics with vendors demonstrating like for like Software as a Service (SaaS) applications as explained below. Background The Bureau of Medical Services (""MED"") is a component of the Department of State (DOS), Office of the Under Secretary of State for Management. DOS MED safeguards and promotes the health and well-being of Americas diplomatic community, which consists of employees and their eligible family members who represent United States government agencies abroad (also see: 16 FAM 800 OPERATIONAL MEDICINE PROGRAM). MED also advises embassies and State Department management about health issues throughout the world. The Bureau has more than 1,500 affiliated personnel working to support 200+ Health Units in 150+ countries abroad. Overview The Department has a requirement for a vendor to provide a fully-integrated, single platform commercial-term enterprise SaaS, including infrastructure management, cloud hosting, and configuration and enablement services. Currently, there is an enterprise data management platform (EDMP) in production. MED is sourcing information and research on innovative strategies from the vendor community to assess emerging technologies and determine if efficiencies can be achieved. The vendor shall provide fully supported services, including the resources to facilitate implementation, solutioning, security, and operational maintenance. MED currently leverages the EDMP to (1) deliver health-focused, enterprise-wide data integration and analytics; (2) enhance transparent, efficient, and evidence-based emergency medical care and evacuation support; (3) provide a common operational picture; (4) inform risk management; and (5) drive decision-making. RFI Instructions Please see attachments for RFI details and a questionnaire template. Submissions are due by THURSDAY, JULY 14, 2022, not later than 11:00 AM EST electronically. No phone calls please. .
