- Description
- This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Library of Congress (The Library) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This Statement of Work serves as an estimate of Government requirements, not exact needs being solicited or how they may be solicited in the future. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it may be synopsized on the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Although ""proposal contractor and ""offeror"" may be used in this RFI, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. Information submitted in response to this notice will be for Library planning purposes and may be used as a basis for a future solicitation and/or as a basis for more in-depth research of an interested offeror's capability. The Library anticipates solicitation and award of a Firm Fixed Price contract but reserves the right to solicit and award a different contract type if the results of this market research indicate that an alternate contract approach can more effectively fulfill future requirements. The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, newspapers, maps and manuscripts in its collections. The Library is the main research arm of the U.S. Congress and the home of the U.S. Copyright Office. The Library preserves and provides access to a rich, diverse and enduring source of knowledge to inform, inspire and engage intellectual and creative endeavors with a world-class staff. The Librarys mission is to: Engage, inspire, and inform Congress and the American people with a universal and enduring source of knowledge and creativity. The Library requires an IT asset management (ITAM) solution and a contractor to provide assistance implementing this solution. Implementation will include integrating the solution within the Librarys environment and policy/governance framework. Additional details on the estimated requirements can be found in the 030ADV22Q0194 FINAL specifically in the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) Section C contained in this RFI and additional background information is contained in Attachment J1 - Library of Congress IT Asset Management Background.
