- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Cardinal Health, LLC., under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) "" Only one source reasonably available . The proposed procurement is for a WaveMark Supply Management and Workflow Solutions for Wavemark RFID Cabinets at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System at the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus. Currently the equipment is purchased, installed and in use. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541513 Facilities (i.e., clients' facilities) support services, computer systems or data processing. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on July 8, 2022. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Evelyn.Peguero@va.gov. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Government s acquisition strategy. See Statement of Work below for further details: STATEMENT OF WORK Title: Maintenance, Training and Support Services for Wavemark RFID Cabinets Introduction And Background: VA New York Harbor has recently opened a new hybrid OR (operating room). It utilizes Wavemark RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Smart Cabinets (HF3000 and HF1500). These specialized cabinets store critical medical supplies such as catheters, pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators, wires, sheaths, IABP, wound closure devices, snares, stents, balloons, atherectomy systems and IVUS. These cabinets are RFID enabled for real-time tracking of critical medical supplies. Scope Of Work: 1. Contractor Daily Responsibilities Tag and register all requirement RFID items daily Complete replenishment of RFID tagged items Search, locate, and register any un-registered items Research items registered but not read into inventory Research and address items missing for more than 48 hours Research and address expired or items about to expire Work with the site clinical team leader to determine if items can be swapped out for new product or are no longer needed Report expiring product to supervisor to research internal transfer opportunity Remove recalled items from inventory and work with supervisor to coordinate return authorization Identify items showing up on dashboard and communicate to supervisor Create daily orders for suggestions for RFID tagged items Research and address out of stock RFID Tagged products with clinical team leaders Work with Customer Purchasing delegate on RFID tagged items not received or tagged within 3 business days from when it was ordered to determine if they are on back order Communicate any backorders to the respective clinical team leader Update item s backorder status Train customers VA staff on cabinet tasks and functionality Personnel Requirements: Contractor Personnel shall be a business frequently engaged in the maintenance, training and support of Wavemark RFID cabinets. Estimated Period of Performance: August 1, 2022 October 31, 2022 Place of Performance: VA New York Harbor Health Care System Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus 423 East 23rd Street New York, NY10010-5011 Changes To Statement of Work: Any changes to this SOW shall be authorized and approved only through written correspondence from the CO. A copy of each change will be kept in a project folder along with all other products of the project. Confidentiality and Nondisclosure: It is agreed that the preliminary and final deliverables, and all associated working papers, application source code, and other material deemed relevant by VA which have been generated by the contractor in the performance of this order, are the exclusive property of the U.S. Government and shall be submitted to the CO at the conclusion of the order. The CO will be the sole authorized official to release, verbally or in writing, any data, draft deliverables, final deliverables, or any other written or printed materials pertaining to this order. No information shall be released by the contractor. Any request for information relating to this order, presented to the contractor, shall be submitted to the CO for response. Press releases, marketing material, or any other printed or electronic documentation related to this project, shall not be publicized without the written approval of the CO.
