- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial goods and commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0202 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 332618 - Other Fabricated Wire Product Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06.� The USDA, ARS, in Athens, GA has the following need: Fabricate two fenced walls to divide two separate poultry isolation rooms. The new fencing will be attached to existing 2� stainless steel posts without penetration of floor for mounting. The fence will be constructed with stainless steel material of 1� x 1� x .080 dia. welded wire mesh attached to a 1� square stainless steel tubing frame. The frame will be fabricated as a modular assembly consisting of three separate door/frame units per room and bolted together construction. Doors will be constructed of a 1� square stainless steel tubing frame with lift-off hinges, covered with 1� x 1� x .08dia welded wire mesh and fitted with a non-locking latch. Each door will also have an 11 ga. stainless steel threshold to support the door casing. The fence frame will be supported by 1 �� square stainless steel tubing vertical posts attached to each existing 2� stainless steel posts using stainless steel brackets of a type that will allow the extension of the fence beyond the existing square columns.� The brackets may require fabrication to meet laboratory requirements in this case. All hardware and labor required for assembly will be responsibility of contractor. The facility will be occupied during construction activities.� All work shall be scheduled in advance and coordinated with the facility representative to minimize the disruption to daily operations and research programs.� A site visit is scheduled for July 7th, 2022 at 2 pm ET. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed priced contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. Responses shall include technical specifications, descriptive material and capabilities of the offeror�s equipment.
