Description
Small Business Roofing Multiple Award Construction Contract (ROOFING MACC) NAVFAC WASHINGTON PROPOSED TASK ORDER: NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY- BUILDING ROOF REPAIR, BLDG. A59, NAVAL RESEARCH LABOROATRY, WASHINGTON, DC. Secure work site. Survey and inspect the entire roofing system including missing and damaged vent caps. Repair leaks as necessary. Replace missing or damaged vent caps. Repair/replace rubber seals along seams. Replace gutters and downspout connections. Tighten loose fasteners. Install primer and coating on seams and flashing areas. Repair and modify the roof expansion joint to ensure watertight construction. �The Contractor shall ensure roof is watertight at end of each workday. The Contractor shall provide a detailed fall protection plan, detailed work plan, including access to roof, impact on pedestrian traffic/control and restoration of work area. Before beginning any demolition or deconstruction work, survey the site and examine the drawings and specifications to determine the extent of the work. Contractor shall establish a fall protection and prevention program, for the protection of all employees exposed to fall hazards. As the facility is currently occupied, proper sequencing of work shall ensure the safe relocation of occupants prior to start of work. Repair all incidental damage caused to the building during the repairs. All work shall be performed in accordance with NAVFAC and OSHA safety standards.�� All work shall meet applicable mechanical and building codes. Ensure to clean area and remove all debris and removed materials from work site. Ensure to properly dispose of any hazardous material.
