- Description
- Amendment 1: 1. Amends Requirements and Specifications document to add/clarify requirement ""M2<1.1, appropriately sized beam output (nominal beam diameter 1 mm), low-noise amplification (Intensity and phase), air-cooled unit, output fiber length 1.5 m, linear-polarization output of high purity (20dB + extinction ratio), 25 dB output isolation, rack mount, PM fiber APC/PC input"" (Amend 1 - Atch A - Requirements and Specification) 2. Posts Government responses to vendors' questions (Amend 1 - Atch C - QnA USG Responses) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number NB688000-22-02056 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-06. The associated NAICS code 333314, Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing, has a small business size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is being procured as a Full and Open Competition. The National Institute of Standards and Technology's Ion Storage Group requires a pair of high-power fiber amplifer modules, one at the 1550 nm and the other at the 1050 nm, to create 626 nm radiation via a sum requency generation technique that will be a frequency doubled to 313 nm. This 313 nm radiation is critical for manipulation of the Be ions, a commonly used ion in the group. In particular, these ampliers will be used in the Be Raman beamline 0 driving Raman transitions require substantial optical power thus the high-power output requirements. All quoted items must meet all requirements listed in the Requirements and Specifications document (Attachment A). Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point are required in accordance with the attached RFQ and specification documents. The Government will award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the requirements of the solicitation represents the BEST VALUE to the Government considering the Governments evaluation factors provided in the attached Addenda. See attached Instructions and Evaluation Criteria, and Basis for Award. Inquires regarding this RFQ shall be submitted electroncially to the Contract Specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov utilizing Attachment C - Question Submittal Form, no later than 10:00 am (Moutain Time) on June 28, 2022. Quotes shall be submitted electornically to the Contract Specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov no later than 10:00 (Moutain Time) on July 6, 2022.
