- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions posted about 36C25622R0117. 1. Can you provide a link to Joint Commissioning requirements? https://www.jointcommission.org/ 2. Would the VA consider a larger capacity tank because of current supply issues? i.e. 4000 Gallon option. Yes, the VA would consider a higher capacity option due to the current supply chain issues. Please also provide the 3000-gallon tank cost with your RFP for evaluation purposes. 3. Please verify there are no utilities under the proposed tank site. No utilities exist in the proposed tank site however utilizes are in the surrounding areas. Contractor will be responsible for avoiding impact to existing utilities. Awarded contractor will receive CAD files of Utilities and pipe diagrams for chiller plant. 4. Per the statement of work there will be a requirement for soil remediation for this solicitation but we are unable to quantify the amount of the removal and replacement without unearthing the existing tank. Therefore, the contractors will not be able property estimate this requirement of the statement of work. Can the Gov. provide an allowance for possible soil remediation in lieu of the contracts excluding this section of work? Estimate in proposal 10 ft below tank for soil remediation. Soil removed can be dumped locally on VA property, location will be confirmed with awarded contractor. If additional soils need to be remediated discussions will be made at that time with the awarded contractor. 5. Additional information is needed for the remote standpipe and location of standpipe for fueling and re-fueling of the new 3000-gallon tank. There is a significant elevation drop from the proposed tank and existing elevation of the truck court area which creates possible challenge when re-fuel tanks from a gravity fed truck. If the contractor feels like a pump is required, please include in pricing for standpipe. 6. Does the Gov. intend to issue additional drawings and specifications other than what is provided in the Statement of Work indicating work limits, remote fill line, etc. Yes, awarded contractor will receive cad files of existing utilities and chiller plant piping. Contractor will request a proposed work area once awarded for VA review.
