Description
Tionesta Lake Outflow Left Bank Long-Term Repair - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project to implement long term repairs at the left bank at Tionesta Lake, Forest County, PA. The purpose of the long-term repair is to provide erosion protection and support of the campground access road. The failure negatively impacts the District?s ability to respond to a dam safety emergency and conduct dam safety inspections. The repair will reduce future erosion which in turn will prevent more significant repairs. The major features of the requirements are identified below: The contract specifically includes: Install all Erosion and Sedimentation controls in accordance with the Contract Documents. Install a sheet pile wall along the top of bank with top of wall ranging from approximately Elevation 1050 to 1053. The sheets will be 28 feet long with tip elevations ranging from approximately 1022 to 1025. Place gravel backfill behind the wall with geotextile and install weep holes. Place and compact additional backfill behind the gravel up to proposed pavement or topsoil subgrade elevation. Excavate the area proposed to be paved to subgrade elevation and prepare subgrade. Place proposed pavement section in area proposed to be paved. Place topsoil in areas to be vegetated, and seed and mulch. Install guide rail, wall cap, and handrail. Construction work will occur in close to the campground access road. Excavation and repair implementation will be required to be minimal intrusion to the campground facility and access road and at the approval of Government. *Visit 'https://piee.eb.mil/sol/xhtml/unauth/search/oppMgmtLink.xhtml?solNo=W911WN22B8009' to obtain more details.*
