- STATEMENT OF WORK 1. Contract Title: Removal of the Girton Cabinet Washer located in the Research Animal Facility, Research and Development department located at 10 North Greene St, Baltimore, MD 21201. 2. Background: Girton Cabinet Washer, Model # 794AHX, Serial# 02070801, VA property tag 512EE64189 was purchased in 2003 and is no longer in service. The central wash area in animal facility is a major operational hub for the cleaning, sanitization, and sterilization of materials and equipment entering, leaving, and re-circulating through the animal facility. Effective sanitation of cages and cage components is accomplished by various cage and rack washers and is an important aspect of an animal care and use program to control the possible spread of unwanted microorganisms. Removal of unused equipment and replacing it with functional equipment will help maintain the sanitation of the area. 3. Scope: Removal and disposal of Girton Cabinet Washer, Model # 794AHX, Serial# 02070801. The equipment is approximately 8 feet high, 4 feet wide, and 8 feet long with building hookups for water, steam and electricity. The Facility Engineering Department will unhook all building connections prior to removal and disposal. 4. Specific Tasks: The primary task to be accomplished is to remove and dispose of a piece of equipment no longer operational. 4.1 Task 1 removal and disposal of the Girton Cabinet Washer, Model # 794AHX, Serial# 02070801 Deliverables: The vendor will remove and dispose of a non-functioning machine to wash animal cages. 5. Performance Monitoring. N/A 6. Security Requirements: Vendor service technicians are to have identification badging visible on their person while on VA premises, and are subject to Federal Installation Security Requirements, including inspection of any containers, equipment or vehicles as required. . 7.
