- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District intends to place a brand name specification for (Trane) HVAC chillers into RFP W9127822R0053 in accordance with FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or an announcement of a solicitation; however, all information received within fifteen (15) days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to include this proposed brand name specification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Contracting, is conducting a market survey to identify sources for the brand name requirement of (Trane) HVAC chillers. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, anticipates a future procurement for HVAC repairs to Building 856 located at Maxwell AFB, FL. Building 856 at the Gunter Annex of Maxwell AFB was constructed during the 1980s and consisted of three separate phases of work. The original building in Phase 1 is located on the east side of the building complex. Phase 2 is on the north side and Phase 3 is on the west side. All three phases are two stories. The use of (Trane) HVAC chillers for this project is essential to meeting the Government's requirement, thereby precluding consideration of another product. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the required (Trane) HVAC chillers for this project are invited to electronically submit an affirmative, written response indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Responses should appear on company letterhead and include, at minimum, affirmation of active registration in System for Award Management (SAM), your Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number, any applicable processed credentials and qualifications, and any applicable pricing data or information. All responses should include a point of contact, telephone number, and electronic email address. Additionally, respondents should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small, disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern women-owned small business, HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, or qualify as socially economically disadvantaged and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of this product. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and all responses will be considered by the agency. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this notice nor return the data provided. Responses should be emailed to the contacts identified in SAM.gov no later than 2:00 PM CST, 22 July 2022. No other forms of transmission are requested or will be accepted.
