Description

NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Toxic Gas Monitoring System (TGMS).� The TGMS is used to detect toxic gas leaks, activate warning, and alarm systems throughout the facility and to initiate signals for remote monitoring of individual alarms and conditions. NASA/GSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the items from Honeywell Analytics Inc.� In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Honeywell Analytics is the only facility whose monitoring system, provides the specific requirements outlined in the JOFOC.� � The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Chauncey Pendleton at chauncey.l.pendleton@nasa.gov not later than 3pm EST on July 25, 2022.� Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.� A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
