- RFQ# 36C24222Q0938 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Replacement of Existing Midmark Exam Tables The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order with Midmark for the purpose of procuring brand specific Midmark tables and removal of the existing Midmark equipment at the Buffalo VAMC. The need for standardization and compatibility with the existing units limits this procurement to a brand name only requirement. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Midmark as per FAR 8.405-6(b), as no other source of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Midmark has an existing FSS contract that will serve the government s need as fair and reasonable. Market research was conducted in accordance with FAR part 10; a comparison of published federal supply schedule pricing found Midmark Corporation pricing to be 10 15% lower than that of its authorized dealers (schedule holders). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 and the size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Duane.philgence@va.gov and will not consider responses received after by 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on 07/14/2022. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
