This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number 36C24822Q1380 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in conjunction with FAR -- Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award contract. The provisions and clauses in this document are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06, April 26, 2022. This solicitation intends to award a contract to a SDVOSB/VOSB business associated with NAICS Code 339112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Miami Veterans Healthcare System has a requirement to purchase Portable EEG/Sleep Monitoring Equipment. Equal To systems must be compatible with Natus system applications and hardware. Comparative evaluations will be performed after all quotes have been received. Salient Characteristics for NATUS Portable EMU40: This equipment is used to record video activity of patients being monitored in the EEG Lab and in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) in the Epilepsy Center of Excellence (ECoE). Designed specifically for Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) facilities, the EMU40EX can also be used for clinical EEG and some in-lab sleep studies. It offers 40 clearly marked AC channels that allow for full 10-20 electrode placement. In addition, oxygen saturation and pulse rate channels are available from the integrated oximeter. Plus, there are 4 extra DC channels available on the base unit. Lastly, a photic stimulator interface and a patient-event-switch interface complete the EEG functionality. The EMU40EX is suitable for a variety of fixed and portable applications. It can be fixed to a wall or mounted on a variety of carts, and its unique quick-disconnect options enable moving the unit easily and safely. From a range of channel inputs to extended-range wireless monitoring, this innovative amplifier has all the features needed for brain monitoring in an EMU. The cameras need a resolution to capture subtle movements of the epilepsy patients during seizures, such as subtle eye or facial twitches. The cameras need to offer good resolution in low light capturing abnormalities seen only during sleep.
