Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO: University of South Carolina, 1600 Hampton ST #414, Comlumbia, SC 29208, to provide services in form of �processing and inventory of archaeological records associated with the National Historic Landmark Site, Charlesfort/Santa Elena on Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC., UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR PARTS 12 & 13. The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to above named company. The value of this award is estimated to be under $250,000.00. The �objective of this Archaeological Records curation project is to fulfill the Marine Corps' Section 110 responsibilities of the National Historic Preservation Act and enhance the management and overall stewardship of Charlesfort-Santa Elena NHL. It will enable MCRDPI to demonstrate compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (PL 89-665) as amended, the Archeological and Historic Preservation Act of 1979 (PL 93-291) as amended, and 36 CFR Part 79 regarding the Curation of Federally-owned and Administered Archaeological Collections, specifically Complete and Accurate Records (79.9(b)(1)) derived from archaeological investigations on Federal property. �The expected award date is �26 July 2022. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. This notice is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice.
