- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWC-AD) intends to award a fixed price contract for one (1) Calibration Gun Check Fixture (PN: 152D5256, NSN: 5220-01-289-6319) in support of the Kuwait F/A-18 E-F Super Hornet Program. The Calibration Gun Check Fixture is used to calibrate the following GSE gun fixtures: 132D1717 Transfer Unit Checking Fixture 132D1732 Unload/Drive Unit Checking Fixture 32D1856 Exit/Entrance Unit Checking Fixture. This procurement effort is intended to be awarded based on a Sole Source basis with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment, General Dynamics-OTS, Inc.� The NAWC-AD Lakehurst requires the following items, Exact Match, to the following: Calibration Gun Check Fixture (PN: 152D5256, NSN: 5220-01-289-6319) As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. (CAGE 05606) is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Calibration Gun Check Fixture (PN: 152D5256) and is the only known source that is capable of providing the Calibration Gun Check Fixture with the capabilities to support the Kuwait F/A-18 E-F Super Hornet Program. As the OEM, General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. is the only known source that is capable of providing the required Support Equipment with the same form, fit and function that is compatible with the existing configuration. As the sole developer and manufacturer of the Calibration Gun Check Fixture, General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. is the only supplier with the proprietary data in order to meet the requirements. The Navy does not possess a technical data package to permit the development of the required equipment by any other sources than the OEM. Therefore, this action will be an establishment of a sole source contract action to General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. located at 326 Ibm Road Building 862, Williston, Vermont 05495-7907. �General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. is considered a large business under NAICS code 332216. NAWC-AD intends to award this order under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation will be available for this procurement.��� ��
