PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder s list is maintained. Project Remodel of 507E Whole Health Kitchen and Waiting Areas The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA has a requirement for a contractor to Remodel 507E Whole Health Kitchen and Waiting Areas at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA. General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, permits, licensing, supplies, material, hardware, parts , tools, specialized equipment, labor, qualified supervision, and technical expertise on the project to remodel and make improvements to the kitchen areas and waiting areas for the Whole Health Clinic, located in building 507E on the campus of the Richmond VAMC. The work shall be accomplished in phases. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Demolition of kitchen/waiting areas including floor covering that may include asbestos abatement, removal and replacement of interior windows indicated in drawings, decommissioning/removal of fire suppression system over stove, cut into ceiling for wall installations, demo/reposition of existing return(s) in the construction area, remove/ replace thermostats to new hallway area, and removal/capping of all plumbing fixtures in kitchen for conversion to office/therapy rooms. Installation of walls, doors, electrical tie ins, data tie ins, flooring, lighting, sprinklers, a/c supply. a/c exhaust, reinforcing the floor sub structure as well as the sheathing required for proper support, and conduit runs for equipment installs during activation as indicated in provided drawings. Once all work is completed both AHU units in 507E to be tabbed for new space functions. A Pre-Proposal Site Visit is tentatively projected for 08/09/2022 at 1pm EST. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling, and materials necessary to the Pre-Proposal Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or proposal preparation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million Dollars. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204 with an solicitation issue date on/about July 28, 2022. The solicitation is anticipated to be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted to https://www.sam.gov/. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. Companies must have the Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) seal on their registration to be considered for an award. It is the offerors responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for obtaining the solicitation from Sam.gov and acknowledging all amendments to any subsequent solicitation. NO paper copies of the impending solicitation will be furnished. All interested vendors/prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://SAM,gov) in order to obtain access to SAM.gov Contract Opportunities. SAM and VetBiz registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award. Failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award or consideration.
