Description

This synopsis is not an Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ). This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via https://www.SAM.gov in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District is seeking a contractor to perform repair and rehabilitation work to the pedestrian footbridge over the BNSF railroad tracks at Lock & Dam 4, Alma, Wisconsin.� Work will include obtaining performance and payment bonds, removing the bridgespan (using crane to move to adjacent parking lot), sandblasting, painting (including application of specialty coatings), making repairs to structural components, and re-installing the bridgespan on piers.� The Estimated Magnitude of Construction, in accordance with FAR 35.204 is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238320. The size standard of this NAICS code is $16,500,000. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and will be Unrestricted - Full & Open Competition.� No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking https://Sam.gov for any update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for a contractor to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be fully registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
