Description: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District intends to procure a contract for paving at Yatesville and Paintsville Lakes in Louisa, KY. The award of one (1) firm-fixed price construction contract is anticipated. The Base Contract consists of repair and paving of 1.55 miles of dam access roadway at Yatesville location. The access roadway shall be overlaid with asphalt surface course. There are also additional identified repairs such as scratch course repair, pothole repair, and full depth repairs are required. The Option 1 Contract consists of repair and paving of office building parking lot, maintenance shop parking lot, shoulder areas, intake access road at Yatesville Lake location. Office parking lot requires milling and filling of surface course. Maintenance shop parking lot requires surface course, and there is an adjacent area where new pavement is required. In addition, there are three shoulder areas identified where new pavement is required, and two shoulder areas where shoulder shall be leveled with new aggregate. Finally, the intake access road shall be paved with a surface course. The Option 2 Contract consists of repair and paving of dam access roadway, office building parking lot, bus turn-around, end of the dam parking lots, intake access road and parking lot, and access roads and parking lots in downstream area at Paintsville Lake location. Dam access roadway, office building parking lots, bus turn-around, end of the road parking lots and intake access road and parking lots shall be paved with surface course. Also, there are two pothole repairs required at the dam access roadway. Downstream area requires surface course, some areas require scratch course, and another area requires full depth repair. The Option 3 Contract consists of repair and paving of maintenance shop access road and parking lot at Paintsville Lake location. This repair requires milling and filling of the surface course. An organized site visit will be conducted concurrently with the Pre-Bid Meeting. See solicitation for full details. The contract will be awarded to the lowest price bidder found to be responsive and responsible. This procurement is total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 324121, which has a size standard of $39.5 million average annual receipts. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 01 August 2022 and can be downloaded at www.sam.gov. Bidders shall submit all documents electronically through DOD SAFE.
