- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as prescribed by FAR 13.106-1(b). Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Ft. Riley, KS intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award to Synexis LLC, 11711 W. 79th Street, Lenexa, KS., to provide continuous microbial control systems, referred to as Dry Hydrogen Peroxide (DHP) generators, that continuously reduce airborne and surface-contaminating microbes in the environment, including viruses, bacteria, and mold, reducing steady state contamination levels in the air by 99.8% and on surfaces by up to 99%. Synexis, the vendor of Dry Hydrogen Peroxide technology, has been granted 12 United States patents protecting their current technology until 2029 and beyond, and is the only legal provider of Hydrogen Peroxide Gas and Dry Hydrogen Peroxide generating systems under US patent law. The Synexis continuous microbial control systems can be mounted in HVAC systems or deployed as stand-alone devices (M9049 sphere devices). This contract purchase is for 66 stand-alone devices for Irwin Army Community Hospital at Ft. Riley, KS. The NAICS code for this requirement, 335999 - All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing (Size Standard 500 employees). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by 8 AM CST of the due date 20 Jul 2022 for this notice will be considered by the government. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government to garner further consideration by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Written responses to this Notice of Intent to Sole Source shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. MICC Ft. Riley will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
