316 CONTRACTING SQUADRON:�NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Requirement Title: Joint Base Andrews Open House B-17 Aerial and Static Display RFQ: FA286022Q0048 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 316th Contracting Squadron (316 CONS) intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Yankee Air Museum: The contractor will provide three (3) aerial performances (including WWII narrative, and multiple flyover passes) of the B-17, one on each day of the Open House, 16-18 September 2022. When not engaged in flying activities, the aircraft will be made available as a static display for event attendees. The resultant action will result in a firm fixed price contract for this requirement. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of responses to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
