Description

This solicitation is for the brushing of roads on the Payette and Boise NF in 2022. This brushing will occur on all roads listed in the schedule of items. Upon completion of the road brushing the roads will have had all material under 6� dia. removed from within 5� of the outside edge of the shoulder or ditch if it exists on the cutslope. All material under 6� dia. From within 3� of the outside edge of the shoulder on the fill slope. Material will be removed up to a height of 14� above the road surface. Clearing on the inside edge of major curves will be extended out to 8�. Cuts shall be as smooth and as close to the tree bole as practical. Care will be taken not to scar trees that remain. All cut material will be removed from the drainage features and roadway. Period of Performance: Contract time begins on the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and runs until the appropriate number of calendar day�s elapse. Due to the late start date, road brushing will be started as quickly after award of contract during fiscal year 2022 with the balance of all unfinished work to be completed as soon as roads are clear in the spring months of 2023. Estimated time to start work is August 26, 2022, with an estimated finish date of July 1, 2023. Location: This work occurs in the East Fork of the Weiser River area on the Council Ranger District of the Payette NF and Cascade area of the Boise NF See attached maps.
