Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Utility Vehicles VETERANS HEATH ADMINISTRATION Leavenworth, KS & Wichita, KS INTRODUCTION: This solicitation is to provide the Veterans Health Administration, Leavenworth Logistics Department with one (1) accessories and Wichita Facilities Management Department with ten (10) utility task vehicles. These vehicles are needed for warehouse staff to utilize make deliveries throughout the station when they have emergencies and for maintenance staff to utilize for transport to worksite locations, transport required tools and materials, and in some cases, for assistance with earthwork, snow removal or other work-related activities. They need the weather protective cover to protect them when they are outside making these deliveries. BACKGROUND: The Leavenworth Logistics Department and Wichita Facilities Management Department currently uses utility vehicles to transport staff, materials, and tools to various worksites on campus as well as to assist in snow removal and other work. The vehicles are past useful life, and many are no longer fully functional and require frequent maintenance and repairs which is no longer cost efficient. The new utility vehicles will provide staff with the resources needed to provide site work and facility maintenance and repairs as efficiently as possible given the campus style layout and distance between engineering shops and worksites. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide ten (11) Utility Vehicle with the following features included: Color orange/black (Preferred) Ability to add K-Connect and PTO for future use Integral spray-on bedliner Heavy Duty tires Integral Hydraulic Dump Bed Halogen front (2) and rear (1) work lights Turn signal and Hazard lights Exterior Site Mirror Strobe Light (safety light) 2 trailer hitch ball mount Backup alarm Extended oil dipstick Engine block heater TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Salient Features for Utility vehicles Diesel Engine (preferred) 3-Cylinder, 4-Cycle Approximately 25 HP (Minimum) Automatic Transmission Variable Hydrostatic (no belt) Forward up to 25 mph, low and high speed Reverse Limited-slip front differential for traction Ability to select 4WD or 2WD Accelerator and brake pedals Hydraulic System Open Center Hydraulic Power Steering w/tilt Hydraulic cargo dump bed Tires and Wheels Steel Wheels Heavy Duty Tires, minimum 6 ply Cab Features Unibody cab and chassis frame meeting SAE J2194 and OSHA 1928 standards Certified rollover protection Factory Air Conditioning, Heating, Defrost Factory Manufactured Enclosed cab with metal frame hinged doors with glass windows Opening windows, full roll up and down Speedometer Headlights and Rear Brake Lights Front and Rear Disc Brakes Parking Brake Windshield Wipers Front Cab Guard Two-Point retractable seatbelts Ability to attach hitch or adaptor to utilize snow removal or earthwork implements (i.e., sweeper or plow). Two-Seater (front) with Cargo Bed Cargo Bed approx. 40 long x 57 wide Cargo Bed load capacity approx. 1100 lbs. Cargo Bed volume capacity approx. 15 cubic feet Spray on cargo bed liner Tow Capacity 1300 lbs. Warranty (Minimum) Two Year, 1,000 miles DELIVERY AND LOCATION INFORMATION: Delivery of one (1) Utility Vehicle will be shipped to: Department of Veteran Affairs Dwight D.
