- Pre-Solicitation Notice Cape Cod Canal � Concrete Repairs to Bourne & Sagamore Bridges The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the Concrete Repairs at the Bourne & Sagamore Bridges located in the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne, Massachusetts. The NAICS code for the work described below is 237310. The project is planned to be issued in August 2022 and will be set aside for Small Businesses.� The period of performance will be 450 days.� The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The work of this project includes repairing failing concrete on both the Bourne and Sagamore Bridge abutments and decks as well as steel angle repairs within the existing manhole. Once bridge deck repairs are complete, new pavement markings shall be provided for the entire length of each bridge.� In addition to work on the bridge deck & manholes, there will be concrete repairs along the exterior face of the Sagamore bridge abutment over Sandwich Road. Note that there will be time of year and traffic restrictions throughout the year.� Close coordination with USACE and external parties, such as Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MADOT), will be required for successful completion of the project.� Onsite work for the project shall not begin until 01 January 2023. Additionally, the work on the bridge decks and manholes is not allowed the third weekend in May through Labor Day weekend, inclusive of any year. Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about August 2022. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to view the solicitation offerors must access the System for Award Management website (www.sam.gov). In order to download the solicitation, offerors must access the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (https://piee.eb.mil/). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the USACE New England District.
