Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia-Pacific Northwest Region has a requirement for the mechanical refurbishment and upgrade of thirty-seven (37) Woodward XX Governor Oil Pumps, currently located at Grand Coulee Dam and Powerplant, to like-new condition. The governor oil pumps are required for the governor oil systems on main unit generator governor systems at Grand Coulee Dam and Powerplant. The governor oil pumps will be available for overhauls during the main unit work. The duration of the contract is not to exceed 5 years from the date of award. The period of performance for each pair of pump and motor assembly is to be 8 weeks starting with the date the equipment ships from Grand Coulee Dam. The tentative schedule is provided for when the governor pumps would be ready for shipment. The Contractor must have knowledge of refurbishment processes for large industrial pump and motor assemblies. Contractor must also be knowledgeable of Woodward Governor and the work necessary to bring the assemblies back to like-new factory condition. Pursuant to Part 12 and Part 13.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Reclamation intends to issue a written Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about October 1, 2022. The solicitation will be issued using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333996, Fluid Power Pump & Motor Mfg, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. This notice is to assist the Contracting Officer in determining the appropriate socio-economic (if any) set aside. Reclamation intends to award one (1) Firm-Fixed Price/Time & Materials combination IDIQ contract. The initial period of performance (base year) is one (1) year, with four (4), one-year option periods. Option periods shall be exercised at Reclamation�s discretion. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A solicitation will be issued at a later date. Interested persons may identify their interest and e-mail a capability statement and relevant history, along with a Unique Entity ID (UEI) number, to Contract Specialist Paula Gross (pgross@usbr.gov). Responses must be received by 12 August 2022 at 1700 PDT to be considered by Reclamation. A determination by Reclamation not to compete this proposed acquisition, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of Reclamation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of market research and will not be returned. This sources sought notice shall not be construed as a commitment by Reclamation nor will Reclamation pay for any information provided. This opportunity will be posted on SAM.gov. Any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of a quote.
