- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 12 Contracting Activity has a requirement for GE patient monitoring equipment upgrades, networking upgrades, telemetry upgrade and CSG (Carescape Gateway) upgrades at six (6) Medical Centers and their associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These systems communicate on a dedicated switched network configured to meet requirements set by GE Medical Systems. The devices in these areas consist of GE Carescape B450, Carescape B650, Carescape B850, Apex Pro Telemetry, Enterprise Access Telemetry and GE Carescape Central Stations (CSC). All these devices communicate with each other on the dedicated physiologic monitoring network (Medical LAN) using GE Unity ID network protocols. The GE Unity ID network protocol is proprietary to GE. The VA Medical Centers are prepositioning their monitoring systems to interface with the Cerner upgrade. This requirement involves proprietary GE software & hardware integration components, it is essential for the government to procure these items from the original equipment manufacturer of the existing system that will be integrated with Cerner. The associated NAICS code for this medical equipment is 334510. A notice from an interested parties must be received by Sunday, July 31, 2022, 4PM EDT. Please send to parris.weidenbach@va.gov. This is not a Request for Proposal; this is a Sources Sought Notice.
