- Description
- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20, in support of the Portland Veteran Affairs Healthcare System, is currently requesting information to determine the existence of viable commercial sources for Two (2) Bariatric Medical Recliners: Techno Motorized Medical Chair Recliner blood draw/phlebotomy chair (TEUS01) and Four (4) Additional Armrests. Description: A blood draw/phlebotomy chair that will allow for multi-positioning seat and armrest abilities. The draw chair must be able to facilitate Trendelenburg positioning to be able to perform CPR without requiring movement of the patient to the floor. Medical grade vinyl is required to ensure the chair can be cleaned properly between patients. The desired ability to be able to raise and lower the chair is important to promote physical health for our employees. Techno Medical Chair Recliner has proven to be easy to use, easy to get in and out of, and easy to clean. We have one in use currently. We are not pleased with Altamira Avkare model due to texturized material vinyl (harder to clean and slide into seat) and height (too high for veterans to easily slide in, especially if they have mobility issues). Also, the adjustable arms are uncomfortable for some phlebotomists and there could be ergonomic issues. The contractor shall provide and be responsible for the technical assistance, development and generation for final specifications. Please see Salient Characteristics: Draw Room Chair /Phlebotomy Chair Salient Characteristics Multi-positioning seat Multi-position arm rests Trendelenburg positioning Removeable arm rests Lateral access Medical Grade vinyl (exterior surfaces) Height adjustability of chair Weight capacity of 450lbs Lower leg support Removeable side rests Locking wheels Replaceable head rest Replaceable footrest Must be easy to get in and out of my senior veterans Material should be smooth plastic, that is easy to clean, not texturized. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a source sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this request will be considered for determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This Source Sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. If you are interested and can provide the required services, please complete the Sources Sought questionnaire below and email your response to craig.brown7@va.gov no later than 3PM PDT on 01 August 2022.
