- Description
- The Air Force Security Forces Center, Concepts and Innovations Branch, has a requirement for a VIRTUAL REALITY TRAINING SYSTEM. The system must have the following salient characteristics: Scenario driven virtual reality system with USAF specific scenarios built in. Avatars must be Security Force replicas and other avatars that would be similar to that which is seen on USAF installations. The scenarios must be based on USAF installations, aircraft, missile silo(s), and other sight familiar generated scenes. The system must be for at least 2 participants simultaneously and have USAF specific type weapons and equipment. All wearable equipment must be compatible with existing holsters and slings. The current system being used is the Street Smarts Virtual Reality System. The USAF currently uses this system in at least 42 locations. Due to compatibility and ease of transition for the Defenders using the system and moving between bases and deploying to various overseas locations, the USAF is planning to purchase additional systems through Street Smarts Virtual Reality. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Any interested responsible party that believes it is equally or otherwise uniquely capable of meeting the requirements described herein may submit a proposal (to include contact information, size status under NAICS 334310 , UEI Number, and CAGE Code). Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to fulfill this requirement, must clearly demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not create a break in service or degradation of performance quality. All responses must be provided in writing to the Contracting Officer (David Roux) with a copy to the Contract Specialist (Rachel Sherman) not later than 2:00 PM Local Dayton, Ohio Time (Eastern) on 29 July 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any modifications to the existing contracts.
