Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the Gatehouse Masonry Repairs at Knightville Dam located in Huntington, Massachusetts. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238140. The project is planned to be issued in August 2022 and will be set aside for Small Businesses.� The period of performance will be 365 days.� The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The base bid work of this project includes cleaning and repairing exterior brick along with repointing, as necessary. Once cured, a water repellent will be applied over the exterior to aid against future water intrusion. Additionally, all exterior expansion and control joints sealants will be replaced.� Option bid items include cleaning and repointing interior brick, as necessary, replacing all interior expansion and joint joints, and replacing the failed protective coating along the edges of the existing crane bridge beam(s). The Contractor shall note that serious fall hazards exist on this project and fall protection measures are required.� If the Contractor intends to utilize any kind of scaffolding for the project, the Contractor shall adhere to the requirements in EM 385-1-1, specifically Section 22 Work Platforms and Scaffolding. Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about August 2022. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to view the solicitation offerors must access the System for Award Management website (www.sam.gov). In order to download the solicitation, offerors must access the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (https://piee.eb.mil/). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the USACE New England District.
