- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATON AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT CONSIDERED A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this source sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of businesses that are capable of satisfying the following work requirements: Place of Performance: MICHAEL E. DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 Period of Performance: One year Scope of work Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is in the need of having 3rd party water testing company to test the water in Sterile Processing Services in accordance with AAMI TIR34 Water for the Reprocessing of Medical Devices. The need for water testing is to ensure that the water is free of contaminants and bacteria, that my cause damage to the instruments and machinery. The 3rd party water testing company will collect samples at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and test for the following: WC-515 phiMDR Critical Water Panel Validation Test Test panel includes Endotoxin, Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC), Chloride, Color, Conductivity, Hardness (Total), Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese, pH, Silica, Sodium, Sulfate, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Turbidity. WC-525 phiMDR Utility Water Panel Validation Test Test panel includes Chloride, Color, Conductivity, Copper, Hardness (Total), Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Manganese, pH, Sulfate, Turbidity. WC-530 phiMDR Utility Water Panel with Microbiological Validation Test Test panel includesWC-525 panel and Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC), Endotoxin, Total Organic Carbon (TOC). Contractor will be required to take water samples at designated locations for testing at their facility. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Responses to this sources sought/RFI are due by 4:30 PM CST time on July 29, 2022. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to arlene.blade@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541380 and a small size standard of $16.5 million.
