Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is not a pre-solicitation announcement.� The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential business firms that have the technical capabilities and capacity required of the government.� Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) has a requirement for a single pass ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer for the treatment of marine waters prior to those waters entering the marine mammal habitat.� The government requires a single pass ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer which shall meet or exceeds the governments essential salient features:� UV Transmission:� This single pass UV sterilizer shall disinfect waters with an Ultraviolet Transmission (UVT) of 80%.� Based on the season, UVT of the water varies throughout the year from 100% transmission in the winter to 80% transmission in the summer. Flow Rate:� This unit shall be rated for a plumbed water flow rate of 150 GPM. Inlet & Outlet Size:� 4� inlet and outlet to connect with already existing plumbing; smaller or larger inlet or outlet dimensions will be considered. UV Dosage / Lamp Wattage:� Unit shall be able to provide a minimum UV dosage of 200 j/cm2 of disinfection to the water. Marine water Rated:� Unit shall be rated for salt water use. Dimensions:� Shall meet the following specifications:� no more than 96� long, no more than 30� height and shall be no more than 18� distance from wall.� Attached photos show the area where the unit would be installed.� Unit shall be able to be accessed for bulb and quartz sleeve cleaning, or in the case of an alternative method of in-line disinfection must be installed in a manner that staff can access for regular maintenance. Exterior Finish:� Unit shall be able to tolerate a humid environment as well as the possibility of being exposed to or splashed with water without corrosion. NOTE:� Water temperatures range between 30-60 degrees Fahrenheit, year round.� Room temperature range is 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. DESIRED DELIVERY DATE:� 60 days upon receipt of order The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 339113 with a size standard of 750 Employees. Interested firms shall provide, in writing, a specification sheet for product wishing to be considered, and documentation to support your firms capability to deliver requirement identified above and meet the essential salient features and include your firm�s name, address, point of contact, telephone number, email address, SAM UEI Number, Cage Code Number, business type and size, i.e., small, large, non-profit, educational, governmental, and so forth.� Any response that does not include this information will not be considered.� The Government will review your response to determine if your firm and offered product meets the governments immediate requirements.
