Description

This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) � soliciting from a single source. The applicable NAICS Code is 711510. The Marine Corps Installations National Capital Region - Regional Contracting Office (MCINCR-RCO) at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA intends to award a sole source contract to: Schuettinger Conservation Services, Inc 17 North Alley, Box 244 New Market, Md. 21774 The MCINCR-RCO intends to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. This requirement is for the procurement of conservation work and the production of historical reproductions of furniture artifacts for the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Procurement planning for this effort is currently in process, and award is expected to be made on or around August 5, 2022, in accordance with fair opportunity under Far Part 13 procedures. The anticipated contract is for a period of performance from the date of award and to continue for twelve months with four (4) twelve�month option periods. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to genia.fouts@usmc.mil no later than 4 August 2022, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Late responses will not be considered.
