Description

The U. S. International Trade Commission (USITC) intends to solicit and award a Purchase Order, in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, to The Economist Intelligence Unit, NA, Inc., New York, New York, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The USITC anticipates award of a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for a licensing agreement for enterprise online access to its subscriptions which provides EIU�s exclusive Country Reports (Global), which is its flagship product; Access China (National and Regional); Market Indicators & Forecasts (Global); and Country Commerce (Global).� The EIU offers a comprehensive China component that includes country, market, risk and data elements upon which the USITC relies upon for statutory reporting and other Commission research. �This online access will provide the Commission a valuable resource to meet its statutory requirements providing country, commodity, industry, and political information for most developed and developing nations worldwide.� The anticipated period of performance is one year, September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023.� It is anticipated the Purchase Order will include two firm fixed price option years for these subscription services through August 31, 2025.� This notice is not a request for competitive quotations.� A solicitation will not be available for this requirement.� The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only.� However, any information received from any organization, before 9:00 AM E.T., Monday, August 8, 2022, that believes it can meet this requirement will be considered by the Government for a competitive procurement action. Information in response to this notice may be sent to Debra Bridge, Contracting Officer, at debra.bridge@usitc.gov.� A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Telephonic questions or requests are strongly discouraged.�
