- This is a sources-sought notice / request for information (RFI) only. This is not a request for a quote or proposal. This RFI is issued solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this RFI. The Government reserves the right to use any information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary to create the resultant solicitation. This RFI is issued by the Bureau of Land Management, Montana/Dakotas State Office, for the purpose of performing market research to determine the availability, interest, and capability of small businesses under NAICS Code 541620 Environmental Consulting Services. Background: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is required to identify, evaluate, and protect prehistoric and historic cultural resources on public lands under its jurisdiction, and to ensure that Bureau initiated, or Bureau authorized actions do not inadvertently harm or destroy cultural resources. The National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) mandates these requirements. Class III Inventory and Report Preparation for the South Elkhorn Range Improvement and Timber Treatment in Broadwater & Jefferson Counties Project Requiring Cultural Resources Inventory in Accordance with BLM Montana/Dakotas Cultural Resources Handbook H-8110-1, Section III.C. BLM�s objective with the proposed project is to improve overall rangeland health by reseeding areas in the South Elkhorn mountains and by providing additional water resources for livestock and wildlife. BLM is also planning to have a timber sale and conduct tree thinning to reduce hazardous fuels buildup and improve wildlife and forest habitat. The overall Field Office objective is to improve rangeland health and wildlife habitat in the Butte Field Office. Submission requirements: Potential sources are invited to submit a Capabilities Statement describing the requests stated above. All responses should be submitted via e-mail to jalvarez@blm.gov no later than (1:00pm) (MDT) on (10 Aug 2022). Only attach MS Word/Excel compatible files or Adobe Acrobat PDF files in electronic correspondence. Telephonic inquiries will not be considered. Please provide the following information: 1.
