Description
Contractor Questions/Government Answers Do you have information on the award from the last contract? Government Answer Yes, VA249-18-C-10336 was awarded to Evergreen Medical Services, Inc. on 10/01/2017 as a base plus four option year firm fixed price contract having a total period of performance of 10/01/2017 through 09/30/2022 in the amount of $36,000.00 (total contract value including all options). I didn t see an inventory with the number of outlets, valves, alarms, and source equipment. Do you have that information? Government Answer I do not have this information and it cannot be provided without causing an administrative burden on hospital staff and postponing the acquisition. A site visit is being offered on August 17th, 2022, from noon until 4pm CST to show interested prospective contractors all equipment to be included in the annual inspection. The contact information has been outlined in the request for quote (RFQ). Normally we provide a quote after the inspection to repair deficiencies found during the inspection. Is that what is expected? Government Answer Yes, it is the expectation that a quote will be provided for items identified as needing repair before any action is taken on the part of the contractor. I noticed it said vendor to supply parts for repair but didn t know if that was supposed to be included in the price of the inspection. Government Answer No, only minor items such as O-rings found during annual inspections would be expected to be replaced if identified. Any replacement parts or repairs needed outside of minor regular maintenance items are not expected to be included in the price of the inspection. In the event additional repairs or replacements parts are needed, a quote would be provided to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) on site. After given direction from the Contracting Officer to proceed, the government would be responsible for the cost of the part and repair service. The contractor will provide the part to ensure it complies with applicable performance and reliability specifications outlined by the NFPA 99C. Inspections on OR s and other areas that are busy during the day will normally be done after hours. Is that ok with the facility? Government Answer The COR on site at the Memphis VA Medical Center will help to facilitate access to areas in need of inspection. If there are areas that cannot be accessed during normal working hours the COR will help schedule an inspection time with the contractor as needed.
