- Description
- Provide a brief statement of the overall project, including goals and objectives. Shoshone National Forest Trail IDIQ Contract is located within the boundaries of the Shoshone, Bridger-Teton, Bighorn and National Forests. This IDIQ is intended to be a tool for all trail projects under CMTL and NFRW BLIs, as well as an essential tool to implement disaster relief, GAOA, CIM, CIP, BIL, and FLTP projects. This IDIQ will be an essential tool for the rapid implementation of BIL projects and greatly increase the efficiency with which projects can be developed and implemented. BIL (Bipartisan Infrastructure Law) funding will be used as a critical funding tool to support contracts addressing repairs to trails in environmentally sensitive areas, damaged by storms, fires, and to address legacy trails located in areas which may harm community water systems not associated with the National Forests. The IDIQ will use disaster relief funding to support capital improvement project contracts addressing severely damaged post-fire trails. By design, an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract allows the Government to respond to various emergencies, maintenance, and construction needs rapidly, without committing to a specific quantity or type of work. This decreased response time will be crucial when responding to emergencies and disaster relief situations. When a project is initiated, a Task Order will be offered to the awarded Contractor that outlines the project needs, equipment needs, dates, and specific location. The resulting Task Orders will be competed among the awardees and evaluated based on lowest price technically acceptable to the Government determination. Section 2.0 Background below outlines, in a general sense, the various types of work that may be offered as a Task Order under this IDIQ Contract.
