- The following Request for Information/Sources Sought Notice (RFI/SSN) is in regard to the KC-46 Commercial Consumables follow-on Performance Based Logistics contract which the government intends to award as a firm-fixed price competitive procurement.� KC-46 is a commercial derivative of the Boeing 767 aircraft.� KC-46 is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified aircraft.� As such, all parts provided must be FAA approved for installation on the KC-46 aircraft. � The purpose of this RFI/SSN is to determine potentials sources for this consumables requirement and to request industry feedback on the included draft Request for Proposal (RFP) to follow to assist in the development and defining of the requirement. Particular input is requested in the following areas: Failure rates and methods of forecasting for the consumable items on the attached list. Identify which part numbers on the attached list are typically sold as part of the next higher assembly. Delivery turnaround in support of consumable parts in the present marketplace Period of Performance and the pricing / payment structure of long-term agreements for commercial consumable items in the commercial marketplace. Estimated time to complete Phase I � Start-up. Experience managing U.S. government Performance Based (PB) contracts. Include methodology utilized in sharing data between company and government data systems. Explain how your company will incorporate small business participation in your proposal. Experience using Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) parts to satisfy customer requirements. While this this RFI/SSN exclusively concerns consumable material, there is the possibility that, in the future, this effort may be expanded to include depot repairable items.� As such, respondents are welcome to also provide input on any of the above seven areas as they relate specifically to depot repairable items. Please submit all your questions and comments concerning this RFI/SSN by 31 August 2022 to the following individuals.
