Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for��Maintenance and Technical Support of WindTracer� Light Detection and Ranging System (LIDAR)� Please see attached documents for detailed instructions. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR OFFERS. A SIR/Request for Proposal may be made under a separate announcement in the future. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing vendor responses to this market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with a market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor�s expense. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from large businesses, small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing the services detailed in this document. The responses to this RFI will help determine the acquisition strategy and whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or Socially & Economically Disadvantage Business (SEDB/8(a)) certified firms. All vendors responding to this announcement are responsible for ensuring that documents submitted contain the appropriate proprietary marking; The FAA has the option of conducting one-on-one communications as deemed appropriate without the obligation to hold communications with all respondents; Providing a response to this Market Survey neither qualifies respondents for, nor excludes respondents from, responding to the resulting SIR, if any; The FAA is soliciting statements of interest and capabilities to perform Maintenance and Technical Support Services for the: WindTracer� light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) WindTracer� Wind Hazard Analysis Station (WHAS) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (OKC). This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the service maintenance requirements for the LAS and OKC systems.� Statements of interest and capabilities submitted must clearly demonstrate the vendor�s capability, capacity, technical knowledge, experience, and maintenance/repair procedures that are required to satisfy the Government�s stated needs The attached Statement of Work (SOW) describes the service maintenance requirements for the LAS and OKC systems.� Note: The FAR references cited in SAM.gov are not applicable to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as the FAA has its own policies and guidance referenced in the Acquisition Management System (AMS).� CAPABILITY STATEMENT: Any interested party must demonstrate that they have the capability, capacity, technical knowledge and access to Lockheed Martin�s LIDAR System proprietary specifications and drawings to satisfy the Government�s stated needs. INTEREST: In order to be considered responsive, organizations expressing interest in this matter must provide the following: a.���Capability Statement (as defined above) b.���Completed Business Declaration Form (attached) c.���Copy of SBA 8(a) Certification Form and/or proof of service-disabled veteran-owned small business status (if applicable) SUBMISSION FORMAT: Format������Quantity���Address Electronic���1 set������Raymond.Glembocki@faa.gov Respondents must provide written documentation of no more than 5 pages, in font no smaller than 12-point, that describes the Respondent�s technical knowledge and capability to perform the requirements set forth in the attached draft SOW. In particular, each respondent must: Provide a capability statement demonstrating its ability to meet all requirements identified in SOW Otherwise demonstrate that it has other legal rights, knowledge, ability, time, or competitive pricing to meet the FAA�s requirements as set forth in the SOW � The electronic submission should be in either Microsoft WORD format or portable document format (PDF).� This market survey is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise to contract by the Government.� .
