Description

This is a Notice of Proposed Contract Action Synopsis. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will receive no response. This Proposed Contract Action is published to notify potential sources that the FIA RMRS group intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract, on behalf of the USDA Forest Service, to JAVAD for 60 Triumph-2 GPS units. The salient characteristics for the Triumph-2 GPS units are below: GPS C/A, P1, P2, L1C (P+D), L2C (L+M) GLONASS C/A, L2C, P1, P2 Galileo E1 (B+C) BeiDou B1, B1C(P+D) QZSS C/A, L1C(I+Q), L1S, L2C (L+M) SBAS L1 KFK WAAS/EGNOS (SBAS) Data Recording up to 2GB RAIM USB Multi-Base Code Differential Rover Advanced Multipath Reduction Internal GNSS Antenna Bluetooth� and WiFi Interface Internal Bluetooth/WiFi Antenna Internal Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery Accessories (1 EA): AC Power Adapter, 3c, C13/CEE&/&, EURO AC Power Adapter, 3c, C13/NEMA 5-15P, USA AC Power Cable, 3c, C13/C14, SVT (6ft/1.8m) Extension Cable SAE/SAE (1.8m) External Power Supply/Charger, 12V, 60W C14/SAE Power Cable, 1-3.5 plug/SAE (0.33m) Triumph-LS �-20 to 5/8-11 Thread Adaptor USB Cable, A/micro B, (1.00m) The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �Date posted to SAM.gov:� August 4, 2022. �Date posting will close: August 14, 2022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423490. The Size Standard is 150. The desired period of performance for the supplies to be delivered is anticipated to be from September 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022. �The responses to this synopsis will be used to confirm that this is a sole source requirement. This notice is not a Request for Proposals (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to awarding the contract. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this notice of proposed contract action. Contractors who believe they possess the expertise and experience shall submit technical capabilities in writing to Anthony Salas electronically to: anthony.salas@usda.gov. �Responses must be received no later than August 14, 2022 11:00 am MDT. �All documentation shall become the property of the Government. Firms responding must indicate the following information: Indicate the business size: small business or disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business or HUB Zone certified, indicate the appropriate NAICS code, and UEI #. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Quote, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research.
