Request for Information (RFI) Biomeriux Vitek 2XL Micorbiology Ananlyzer General Information: This is an RFI as defined in FAR 15.201(e) to ascertain whether a commercial item exists that provides the capabilities described herein. �� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI will be treated as business confidential information. �Nonetheless, submitters should properly mark their responses if the information is confidential. �Responses to the RFI will not be returned. �Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. �Responders are solely responsible for all expense associated with responding to this RFI. RFI Response and due date: 09 August 2022, 12:00 PM EST Instructions to Responders: Responses from all capable and qualified sources are encouraged to respond to this request. � White papers should adhere to the following formatting and outline instructions: 1. � All submissions shall be made electronically and be in one of the following formats: Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF. 2. Responses are due to the Point of Contact, Ms. Rebecca Wisner at email: �rebecca.c.wisner.civ@mail.mil and email rebecca.c.wisnser.civ@health.mil no later than 12:00 PM ET, Tuesday 09 August 8, 2022.� Requirement & Specification This requirement for a brand name Vitek 2XL System manufactured by Biomerieux, Inc, and includes the following: Equipment:� Vitek 2XL System � Qty 1/ea� V-Link Remote-Access Software � Qty 1/ea� Vitek 2 XL System & Reader � Qty 1 /ea Vitek Densi Check �(470837) � Qty 1/ea� Warranty Enhanced � Additional Vitek �System and Reader Qty �4/ea� Full Service Warranty �� Option, - Qty 4/ea� Consumables: ID Card (GN,GP 21341, 21342) � Qty 50 /box ID CARD (YST,21343) � Qty 1/box Vitek Sensi Card �(AST, GN-GP) � Qty 120/box� Vitek AST-EXN Test Kit (AST-EXN) � Qty 100/box Vitek AST-yeast card (AST-YST) � Qty 1/box Unsensitzied Polystyrene tubes -Qty 20/case Caps Test Tubes(411700) � Qty 5/pkg VITEK 2 0.45% SODIUM CHLORIDE (4178) � Qty 2/case V1200 SMALL DISPENSER � Qty 2/ea V1205 0.45% SALINE 12X 1000ML � Qty 2/case McFarland References �(422219) � Qty 2/ea Pipettor/Dilutor Kit (21219) - �Qty 2/case Training: Training Vitek 2 Routine Class � Qty 1/ea� Minimal Essential Characteristics Biomerieux Vitek 2XL Micorbiology Ananlyzer In order to be qualified for this contract, the contractor must meet the following Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs): 1.�� �Contractor must be able to provide an automated bacterial identification (ID) and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) system incorporating advanced colorimetry technology which provides for high discrimination between species, low rate of multiple choice and misidentified species, and minimal number of off-line tests with identical testing methodology to the BioMerieux Vitek 2 XL System. a.�� �This system must provide bacterial ID for both gram positive and gram negative bacteria to at least the genus and species level. b.�� �This system must provide AST using a miniaturized version of the micro-broth doubling dilution technique (or microdilution) with micro-well testing card containing dried reagents. c.�� �This system must utilize a colorimetric redox indicator for quantitative determination of antimicrobial susceptibility by minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and a variety of colorimetric and fluorometric indicators for bacterial ID. d.�� �This system must also include growth and fluorescent controls for quality control measurement of bacterial ID and AST at appropriate well locations on panel. e.�� �The Vitek 2XL size must be 140cm/55.1in long, 71cm/27.7in wide, and 67cm/26.3in high. 2.�� �Contractor must be able to provide computer hardware and data analysis software which are fully integrated with instrument to provide real-time data access and analysis tools. Computer systems must provide for monitoring, analyzing and communicating microbiology data in a timely manner with identical functionality to that of the BioMerieux Advanced Expert System (AES) software. 3.�� �The system must be able to interface with VITEK MALDI MS instrument. 4.�� �Contractor must be able to provide regular maintenance and emergency service to keep testing system within regulatory compliance and prevent operational downtime at no additional cost. �The technicians providing the training must be manufactured trained and certified. This service must meet the College of American Pathologists� accreditation standards. � 5.�� �Contractor must be able to provide installation and on-site training to staff on use testing system and data analysis software, as well as basic troubleshooting techniques at no additional cost.
