Description

The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Hydraulic Service Company, Inc., 3215 Victory Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23702 (Cage Code: 8R285) on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA), Voyage Repair Team (VRT), Norfolk, VA has a requirement to procure a Mobile Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) Pump Unit, Bench Top Hydraulic Test Unit and Portable HPU Test Pump in support of maintenance of Jet Blast Deflector (JBD) equipment. �Hydraulic Service Company, Inc. (Cage Code: 8R285) is a distributor of the ENERPAC Pumps, which are required to be specifically modified for Pneumatic Drain Valving, parts storage, and FRCMA VRT specific organization color (Blue). �The results of market research indicated no vendor other than Hydraulic Service is able to meet the Government�s specific requirements. �For this reason, the Government intends to procure these items on a sole source basis from Hydraulic Service Company, Inc. (Cage Code: 8R285). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. � Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
