- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 07, located at 1826 Veterans Blvd., in Dublin GA hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed contract for the Hologic ThinPrep 2000 Instrumentation and a variety of reagents and consumables to be delivered on an as-needed basis to Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Pathology and Laboratory Service, in Charleston SC. The products required under this action are as follow: TBD THINPREP2000, Contractor-owned 70096-003 THINPREP PAT TEST 0236050 CYTOLITE COLLECTION CUPS 70205-001 THINPREP NON-GYN FILTERS, 100/BX 0236004 CYTOLYT, 32 OZ, 4 PACK ASY-14756 PRESERVCYT SOLUTION VIALS 70372-001 THINPREP MICROSCOPE SLIDES 71305-001 FILTER CASSETTE KIT - CELLIENT 70136-002 PHYSICIAN'S KIT 70101-001 BROOM-LIKE COLLECTION DEVICES The proposed award will be made to Hologic Inc. at 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA for one nine-month base period and four, one-year option periods effective October 1, 2022, IAW FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items and implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6630. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 1,000 Employees. This is NOT a request for quotes nor proposals. However, all interested parties are encouraged to submit documentation demonstrating their capabilities and authorization to satisfy this requirement. The determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Only written responses will be considered.
