(iv)�� �The associated NAICS code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 1,000. �The acquisition is being conducted in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.� (v)�� �The Contractor Requirements are listed below: 1.0�� �PURCHASE ORDER TITLE Acquisition of an Optilab Instrument �� ��� � 2.0�� �BACKGROUND The Laboratory of Chemical Physics (LCP) plans to acquire an online differential refractometer (dRI) detector instrument to be used for determining molecular masses of proteins and complexes involving protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid, protein-detergent. �We looked for options for this instrument from the vendor Wyatt Technology because there is no other vendor who can provide such an instrument that would interface with the existing Wyatt instrumentation and software currently in use for determining molecular masses. �This is needed for the continuity of ongoing experiments and projects in LCP. � �� 3.0�� �OBJECTIVE The objective of this contract is to procure an online differential refractometer (dRI) detector instrument, Optilab, to be used for determining molecular masses of proteins and complexes involving protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid, protein-detergents, in various LCP projects including viral (Covid-19) proteins. Unlimited free telephone, e-mail, and FAX support for one year.
