Description
Grease Trap/Vault Cleaning Services Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK (This is for information only) PURPOSE: Veterans Affairs requires a contractor to provide monthly routine servicing of the outdoor grease trap vault located by the loading dock and the waste room of Environmental Management Service at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System. Services are to be performed in accordance with this PWS, in a cost-effective, efficient manner, contributing to the VA Mission. TASKS AND REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and properly dispose of grease and sludge within the external grease trap vault in accordance with all standard commercial, state and local practices and with all current and applicable Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements. The Contractor shall be responsible to clean up any spills created during pumping out of the grease trap and from any vehicle used to transport the waste. The contractor must furnish Engineering Service a detailed field report, or equivalent, showing work has been completed before leaving the Facility. Grease trap vault shall be considered clean when waste materials have been fully removed. Contractor shall be responsible for clean up around the grease trap area as necessary from the act of removal. The operator shall verify completion of work, sign service ticket, and retain a copy for VA records. Water and electricity are available if required and may be utilized by the contractor at no cost in quantities necessary to perform the work herein. The contractor shall be responsible for all temporary connections necessary for operations and for removal prior to final acceptance of work. Contractor shall immediately notify the COR of any deficiencies found during any phase of the grease trap vault cleaning. The Contractor personnel shall possess necessary skills, experience and education required to clean industrial grease traps. All maintenance services must meet applicable safety standards. LIMITATIONS OF SUBCONTRACTING: The Limitations of Subcontracting may or may not apply to a resulting solicitation from this Market Research. Vendors are advised to familiarize themselves with Federal Acquisition Regulation parts 19.505(a)(2) and 19.505(b)(1) as it pertains to subcontracting limitations. Vendors are also advised to familiarize themselves with 13 CFR 125.6 and the penalties described in this regulation.
