Description
This is a sources sought announcement to be used for preliminary market research purposes only. No quotations are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made by the Government for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought notice. The National Park Service, Lake Mead National Recreation Area has a need for the supply and installation of a floating boat lift to fit a u-shape boat slip. Lift should have capacity for 10,000 pounds. Floating boat lift that uses air filled pontoons to lift a boat completely out of the water for storage when not in use. This provides for reduced corrosion to hull and metal parts of the boat and motors, as well as reducing the amount of marine growth, to include invasive quagga mussels, from growing on and in parts of the boat. This reduces weight and drag, which saves fuel, and reduces risk of spreading exotic species to other areas in the event the boat is used elsewhere. See below specifications and statement of work. Specifications: - Hydrohoist Ultralift 10000UL2 or equal - Floating boat lift that uses air to fill pontoons that lift boat completely clear of the water - 10,000 lb. boat capacity - Min. Water Depth, 6.5 ft; Min. Slip Width, 10 ft; Max. Slip Width, 18 ft -Lift should be simple to operate with a valve control and power switch for the air pump. An additional quick launch pull up lever is acceptable. -Lift shall be for v-hull boat to include Safeboats, Boston Whalers, 25 ft. Rogue jetboat, or others. -Lifted boats may be either inboard jet or outboard propellor driven. -Boats lifted will be 21 feet to 26 feet in length -Lift will be installed and permanently attached in a 14 foot wide, u-shaped slip with 30 amp electric service available. -Lift will have two arms, with one on each side of the lift, that permanently secure the lift to the slip and allow for the rise and drop of the lift. -Lift shall be able to drop the vessel into the water in a controlled manner into the water and without physical exertion in the event electrical power is lost to the lift. -Lift will be used in an extreme climate where heat exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit for over 100 days per year, and over 115 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 60 to 75 days per year. -Service/repair for the boat lift should be available within a reasonable response area Statement of Work: -Vendor will acquire, deliver, and install floating boat lift in one of the Government leased slips at the Willow Beach marina. Willow Beach is a developed area with a marina that is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The marina facilities are government owned, but concession operated. Willow Beach is located in Arizona, off of US Highway 93. The access road to Willow Beach is located near milepost 14 on Highway 93 and is approximately a 4 mile drive to the marina from the highway. -Work can only take place Monday through Friday, avoiding any holidays that may fall on those days. Work will take place during the marina operating hours. -Vendor will be responsible for installation of new lift and removal of all shipping and work materials. -The slip that the hoist will be installed in is designated E22. It is on the section marina dock that is covered. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 333923 - Boat lifts Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 1,250 employees. Interested companies responding to this sources sought should include the following information: 1. Company name, address, Unique Entity ID number, point of contact, telephone number and email address. 2. Information about qualifications, description of resources, images to adequately provide the supply. 3. Any experience related to the requested work or similar. Include prior experience within the past 2 years. 4. Provide the company's business size (small or other than small) and all applicable socio-economic category information (Small, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB).
