Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Corporal Michael J. Crescenz, VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA has a requirement for project , Building 2, 30 Refrigerator Condensing Unit and Refrigerator Door Repairs, Project# 642-22-130. Scope Summary: The selected contractor will provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to replace the refrigeration equipment in Building 2 main kitchen room B2B123. Multiple walk-in cooler and freezers replacement. Also, the walk-in refrigerator door needs replaced in the Building 30 main kitchen room 1A110. The selected contractor will provide the necessary labor, equipment, and material to: Replace equipment inside the walk-in boxes and walk in freezers: condensers and evaporators. See equipment schedule below for breakout. Replace walk in box Door in CLC. Including all hardware closure, and Frame to insure proper seal and operation Recover remaining refrigerant from system Remove failing condensing unit and failing evaporator from system Install new condensing unit and evaporator assembly Install new Properly sized refrigerant piping to and from each individual condenser to evaporator assembly inside walk in refrigerators and freezers Disconnect and reconnect all mechanical and electrical connections to components of systems Pressure test refrigerant piping with nitrogen to ensure systems have no leaks in new piping Evacuate refrigerant piping to a minimum 500 microns Charge systems with new refrigerant Do a proper start-up to verify operating temperatures and pressures Brazing will be required for all connections Insulate all piping as required All required piping modifications for correct functionality of the system related to the above work Seal all penetrations properly including panels of interior boxes with silicone The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Period of Performance will be approximately 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All work on this project shall be accomplished between 6:00am- 3:30 pm - Monday through Friday. Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is a 100% service-disabled veteran small business set aside (SDVOSB). The firm shall be small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: www.sam.gov and www.vetbiz.gov. Offerors shall ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current and valid. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about August 30, 2022.
